Nia Mitchell, PhD Candidate, MPH

Nia Mitchell is a Vice President at Reproductive Health (RH) Impact and leads the organization’s new Research and Policy Center. As a research and evaluation methodologist, she  is passionate about reclaiming and centering Black women’s/people’s intellectual thought and traditions. Her work is grounded in critical, culturally responsive, community-engaged, and decolonizing traditions and paradigms.   

Nia is pursuing her Ph.D. in Qualitative Research and Evaluation Methodologies from the University of Georgia. She has a Master of Public Health in International Health from Morehouse School of Medicine, and a Certificate in Program Evaluation from the University of Connecticut,  Her B.A. in Anthropology is from Georgia State University.

Nia has implemented and evaluated education, health, leadership development and social justice programs serving a variety of communities in academic, government and nonprofit settings over the last 10 years.
