The Walter Rodney Foundation has developed a number of programs, which preserve, promote, and further the legacy of Walter Rodney.
The Walter Rodney Legacy Projects
The Walter Rodney Legacy Projects are designed to capture the historical aspects of Walter Rodney’s contribution and influence in addressing and educating on European slavery and colonialism’s destabilizing effects on Africa and by extension Africa’s descendants throughout the Americas. The Legacy Projects also introduce his works to future generations to continue the dialogue and fight for social justice for people of African descent and the working class.

Remember Walter Rodney
The WRF has instituted a global outreach project aimed at having individuals and organizations document personal memories, encounters and experiences with Walter Rodney.

The Oral History Project
A repository of conversations, monologues and musings with Elders and those who were intimately close to Walter Rodney.

Walter Rodney Live
The WRF has created a platform to digitize and preserve audiotapes of Rodney’s lectures, speeches and groundings to give students and scholars easy access to a repository of information.

The Walter Rodney and Youth Legacy Project
Walter Rodney’s goal was to open the hearts and minds of young people by teaching them their history. It was his hope that this knowledge would empower them to make change. The Walter Rodney Youth Legacy project promotes the use of Rodney’s work among our youth. It seeks to foster each new generation of activists, scholars, and leaders by promoting community and civic involvement, leadership and skills development through collaborative projects.
